Student Ministries

The Bible commands in James 1:22, But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.  This verse is not written to adults only, but to every Christian.

The teenagers of First Baptist Church are encouraged to participate in the ministries of their church. Sunday school classes aid in the personal development of our teenagers. Sunday night teaching classes are held to educate and inspire the teens to live a life of personal character and holiness. Weekly outreach ministries are available for the teens to share the Gospel with the community. The bus ministry, nursing home ministry, inner-city chapel ministry, Responsibility USA (a public school outreach ministry), and community projects are some of the many opportunites our teenagers can help.

Hammond Baptist Schools provide an excellent education while solidifying the Biblical training received each week at the First Baptist Church.

Today, hundreds of young people that grew up in the First Baptist Church of Hammond are serving God full-time as pastors, assistant pastors, missionaries, Christian-school teachers, and other church positions across the world.
